Bashir gets honored by GM Kang in California

Grand Master Johnny CW Kang on Saturday honored former National Champion, Saturday Bashir as “Most Outstanding Male Role Model”.

The award was given to the USA-based athlete at the 2017 NAPA international Taekwondo championship in California.

The award read, “in honor of Saturday Bashir for your dedication to the Taekwondo and your inspiring example as the most outstanding male role model at the 2017 NAPA international Taekwondo championship”.

Responding, Bashir appreciated Johnny CW Kang for the award.

On his facebook page, he wrote “YES! I take that. Thank you sir, Johnny CW Kang.”

The Nigeria Taekwondo Fedration led by, Margret Binga commended him on his latest award.

The Nigeria Taekwondo Federation on its social media page wrote, “Saturday Bashir, Well done for being a great role Model and inspiring many young people”.

In 2014, Bashir clinched gold medal in the welterweight division at the 2nd Columbia International Taekwondo Championships, held in Cali, Columbia.
