Bamgbopa Abayomi Alabi who recently lifted the Amputee Polish league with his team, Gloria Versovia is one of the most experienced Nigeria players and has been playing in Europe since 2013.

Next year, Alabi will play in Amputee Football Champions League and his team is representing Poland as the polish champion and would be prepared to play for Nigeria at the Mexico based World Cup.

Nigeria is in the same group with Russia, El Salvador and Brazil which means Nigeria will need the services of her best players.

In 2014, Alabi played a crucial role in Nigeria’s qualification to the amputee world cup that was held in Mexico but the nation did not attend due to lack of funds.

In a chat with www.aclsports.com, Alabi said, “I would have loved to join my fellow players who are camped in Nigeria but I read on the pages of newspapers that the country has issues with funds.

“I had the intension of training with the guys before the World Cup and to share my experience about this game in Europe, because they get lot of supports”.

He revealed snubbing the Polish National team for his fatherland.

“The Polish Amputee Football team approached me to join them for the World Cup but I refused because of the love I have for Nigeria. Some individual claimed I do not want to camp in Nigeria because I am based in Poland, that is untrue. I just want the Nigeria team to focus on what they are doing, we are all the same player”, Alabi said

The Nigeria Amputee team will represent the nation in the 2018 Amputee Football World Cup holding in Mexico from October 24 to November 5.
