Super Eagles defender Ọla Aina and forward Samuel Chukwueze has got everyone talking as the Super Eagles of Nigeria clinched began a vital 1-0 win over the Swallows of Burundi in their opening match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) at the Alexandria Stadium in Egypt.

Asides the pace and trickery of Samuel Chukwueze which has got Nigerians talking, Ighalo’s brilliant strike and the sumptuous no look back heel pass from Torino’s Ọlá Aina has also caught the attention of many who took to twitter to share their delight.

You see that Samuel Chukwueze boy? Absolute baller. Special player. The type that comes through once in a while. If he adds goals to his game, improves his decision making. He’s going to be a terror. Talent!!!

Hopefully he’s got good advisers. 🙏🏽

Hats off to @NGSuperEagles. Didn't panic. Made the adjustments needed & ground out the win. The pace & directness of Samuel Chukwueze & substitute Ahmed Musa troubled them. Moving Iwobi to a central attacking midfield role was spot on. Ighalo's finishing was lethal. #AFCON2019

Dear Ighalo,
All the sins you committed at the World Cup are now forgiven.

Signed

The pass was sumptuous but Ighalo surged forward like a true predator to finish that one! Kept asking myself how come he was still on the bench

I don't know which one was better...

Ola Aina's back heel..

Or Odion Ighalo's finish.

Please like for Aina or retweet for Ighalo.

Or both.#AFCON2019#TotalAFCON2019 #NGABDI #NGA #Nigeria #Ighalo #Aina #OdionIghalo #OlaAina

Chukwueze has twisted the waist of two Burundi defenders. That boy is pure evil!
And he is smiling, the little imp!#NGABDI #Team9jaStrong #AFCON2019

Good start for the Super Eagles. Probably tougher than many of us expected but first games in tournaments are banana skins that must be navigated carefully. Expect the Eagles to play better next game. Rohr has a few decisions to make obviously. MOTM? Ola Aina.
