Al-Wasl VC of Dubai has signed Offa VC player, AbdulQuadri Jaiyeola for the 2023/24 United Arab Emirates (UAE) Volleyball League.

AbdulQuadri Jaiyeola won the 2022/23 United Arab Emirate (UAE) Junior Volleyball League and placed second in the UAE Cup with the junior team

He said, “I am happy to rejoin Al-Wasl VC after my short contract with the club last season. My target is to win the league back-to-back with the junior category and inspire the season team to win the UAE Cup. I am optimistic the 2023/24 UAE volleyball season is going to be great; there are going to be challenges from other club sides in the league but I know for sure Al-Wasl VC has the potential of shocking other teams,” AbdulQuadri Jaiyeola said.

“It feels very good to play outside Nigeria and I must say it is a dream come true for me. I have been able to improve myself with more playing time and learn more about the game of volleyball,” he added.

The former Al Bashaer VC of Oman player said Nigeria volleyball players can make a huge impact in foreign clubs and lift them to win laurels.

He said, “There are other players in Nigeria who have the capacity to excel in foreign clubs, all they need is opportunity. I know for sure our players can play in European clubs just like Arinze Nwachukwu but all it takes is commitment and dedication.

AbdulQuadri Jaiyeola said, “One of my dreams is to represent the country at the forthcoming African Games and I will do my best if given the opportunity to wear the colours of the national team again”.
