Nigeria male and female teams crushed Burkina Faso at the ongoing 2019 All Africa Games handball in Ouagadougou.

Nigeria female team beat Burkina Faso 34-29 in her first game while the male team defeated Burkina Faso by four points, 25-21 in a tough encounter.

Host, Burkina Faso whitewashed Benin Republic 34-28 in the opening game of the male category on Monday.

The President of Handball Federation of Nigeria, Samuel Ocheho told www.aclsports.com that the chances of the country qualifying for the 2019 All African Games is high.

He disclosed that the current set of players have what it takes to transform the nation’s senior handball teams.

He said, “Yes, our chances to qualify for both teams at the All African Games is high but there must be no room for complacency. We will keep the focus till after the games tomorrow”.

“I see these set of senior players taking us to the next level of handball in Nigeria”.

Nigeria will face Benin Republic in the male game while the female team faces Burkina Faso again tomorrow.
