The Winner of the men’s 400m at the Commonwealth Games Trials in Abuja, Emmanuel Bamidele might have switched allegiance, aclsports.com has learnt.

Bamidele who broke 46s twice within in a space of 24 hours during the trials, has opted to represent Qatar instead of Nigeria, his fatherland.

Bamidele ran a Personal Best (PB) of 45.85s in the semis  against notable sprinters like current National Champion Samson Nathaniel, Orukpe Erakoyan and Isah Salihu, lowered the time in the final by clocking an impressive 45.28s. Also, the time he set stands as the World Lead (WL) in the one-lap event this season.

According to an impeccable source, Emmanuel Bamidele is nowhere to be found at the Commonwealth Games camp site in Abuja or in the country.
