Rangers International of Enugu striker, Kevin Itoya, has endeared himself to fans of the club, after another match winning performance for the Flying Antelopes.

Itoya came off the bench to inspire the 2016 winners to another home win, as they narrowly defeated El-Kanemi Warriors 1-0 at the Cathedral.

The forward scored the decisive goal in the 82nd minute, 28minutes after he replaced Godwin Aguda in the second half.

A beautiful exchange of passes from Rangers, from the left wing, saw the talented forward put through on goal, and as cold as ice, he kept his cool to calmly shoot past Adamu Abubakar in goal for the visitors.

It was his second of the season, following that match winning strike against Rivers United, also at home.

Speaking after the game, the excited match winner was quick to dedicate his goal, and the win to fans of the club, who came out in their numbers to support their team.

“I feel excited and I give God all the glory,” Itoya said. “It was not an easy game, but I’m happy we got all three points.”

“The goal is for all our supporters, management team and sponsors for their beliefs in us,” he added.

Rangers move up to fifth with that win, and face a difficult trip to Jos next weekend, when they take on defending champions, Plateau United.
