La Liga Wk23 Preview: Etebo leads Las Palmas to San Mames as Ideye, Success host Atletico

After his man of the match performance against Malaga in what was his debut game in the Spanish first division, Super Eagles star, Oghenekaro Etebo would be hoping to help his struggling new side, Las Palmas, to another successful outing this weekend.

La Deportiva have a difficult game against Athletic Club at San Mames, and will be banking on their Nigerian star, Etebo to continue from where he stopped the last time.

Elsewhere in the La Liga this weekend, champions Real Madrid host Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the hope of reviving what has been a disappointing title defence.

For league leaders, Barcelona, who will still be smarting from a record fifth consecutive Copa del Rey final, they welcome 11th placed side, Getafe to Camp Nou on Sunday, while losing cup semifinalists, Valencia also host Levante.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles duo of Brown Ideye and Isaac Success are in for a difficult time this weekend, they host the obdurate Atletico Madrid , who are the only top four side on the road this weekend, when Malaga the side from the capital at the Estadio Rosaleda.

It wasn’t a successful debut last weekend, as Ideye and Success lost 1-0 to Etebo’s Canarian team.

But can they help Malaga put a stop to their poor run against Atletic, having lost the last four against Diego Simeone’s team?
