Home based Super Eagles coach Salisu Yusuf has invited thirty players to a short training camp ahead of the 2017 Nigeria Professional Football League Pre-Season Invitational tournament.
The Super Eagles B squad who will participate at the African Nations Championships (CHAN) in Morocco next January are one of six teams which will battle for honours in the week-long tournament at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano starting from Monday.
Goalkeeper and captain Ikechukwu Ezenwa who recently joined Enyimba heads the list of invited players for the tournament which also includes the experienced midfield trio of Ifeanyi Ifeanyi, Rabiu Ali and Afeez Aremu who has signed a pre-contract with Norwegian side IK Start.
Asides Ezenwa, there are five other players called up from the People’s Elephant including another goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai, left back Nasiru Sani, wingers Austine Oladapo and Joseph Osadiaye as well as striker Ibrahim Mustapha.
Akwa United have four players in the side as newly signed youngster Sunday Faleye joins Aremu, Ifeanyi and striker Gabriel Okechukwu in the mix.
The Super Eagles have been drawn in Group A of the tournament alongside Enyimba and league champions Plateau United and will play their first game against United on Wednesday.

 Defenders: Stephen Eze, Osas Okoro, Daniel Itodo, Adeleye Olamilekan, Kalu Orji Okogbue, Ifeanyi Nweke, Nasiru Sani, Timothy Danladi;

 Midfielders: Afeez Aremu, Raphael Ayagwa, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi, Rabiu Ali, Destiny Ashadi, Dayo Ojo, Emeka Atuloma, Douglas Achiv, Austine Oladapo, Abdulkadir Zango;

 Forwards: Sikiru Olatubosun, Kingsley Eduwo, Peter Eneji, Anthony Okpotu, Joseph Osadiaye, Sunday Faleye, Victor Mbaoma, Mustapha Ibrahim, Gabriel Okechukwu;
