Nations Cup: Nigeria get opponents for the 2017 Men’s Championship

Nigeria male volleyball team have been drawn alongside Cameroon and Morocco in the Pool C of the 2017 Africa Nations Championship in Cairo.

Fourteen countries divided into four preliminary pools will slug it out in Egypt from October 22nd to 30th, 2017. The draws of the championship was done in the presence of CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani and Control committee of the competition.

Defending champions and hosts, Egypt were drawn in Pool A along with Niger and Congo RD, while Pool B Tunisia will head as second ranked African team in the FIVB ranking with Ghana, Kenya and Libya.

Cameroon will battle it out in Pool C against Morocco and Nigeria, while Algeria line up against Botswana, Chad and Rwanda in Pool D.

The African championship serves as 2018 World Championship qualifiers where the top three African teams book their tickets to represent Africa in the FIVB Prestigious championship.
