Ahead of their double header in the Champions League, Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has some kind words for Tottenham striker, Harry Kane. Kane fired blanks at the weekend in Spurs’ first win at Wembley in the Premier League, but with 5 goals in two CL appearances, Zidane is very impressed.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Zidane had nothing but praise for Kane.

“He is a good player and things are going very well for him,” Zidane said. “He’s essential for Tottenham. He’s good at everything and he’s always thinking about the goal in everything that he does. He finds spaces and has speed, he’s very complete. But Tottenham are not just about Kane and we’re going to prepare for this game well.”

Both Spurs and Real are on six points, having won their opening two games of the campaign. So, with both sides set for a back-to-back battle, the two-time CL winning coach isn’t under any illusions as to how important the games are.

“It’s always a test for us against every team,” he added. “We now have two games against Tottenham. Tomorrow is the first group final. Both teams have the same points. It’s going to be a good match for everyone who likes football and hopefully we get the three points.”
