A four man Team Nigeria delegation on Tuesday morning arrived Egypt the venue of this year’s Junior & Cadet Open, ITTF Junior Circuit. The Junior and cadet open is scheduled for October 11th to 15th, 2017 at Sharm, El Sheikh with the rating R2.

The team led by coach Omoniyi Adedotun has National junior champion; Tosin Oribamishe, fast rising Azeez Solanke and Mati Taiwo. Aclsports.com gathered that the team departed Nigeria for Cairo on Monday via Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

The players said they are going to put in their very best in ensuring the county’s flag is on the podium.

They said aclsports.com that they are motivated by the recent feat of Aruna Quadri who became the first African to win a world tour outside the continent.

“We are hoping for the best in Egypt. We’ll put up a good fight against our opponents”, they echoed.

Seventeen countries will battle for honors in Egypt as a total number of 162 registered for the tournament consisting of 97 male and 65 female

Tosin remains the nation’s only table tennis player to have qualified for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) for Argentina.
