Rafael Nadal beat Nick Kyrgios 6-2 6-1 to win his sixth title of the year on Sunday in the China Open.

Australian Kyrgios started brilliantly but later struggled after a bad call in the first set and never recovered from it.
Nadal who last won the title in 2005, now has six titles for the season alongside Roger Federer and Alexander Zverev, while Kyrgios who had never met Nadal in a final must quickly regroup to maintain his slim hopes of playing the season-ending ATP Finals.

Meanwhile, unseeded Caroline Garcia of France won her second title of the year as she stunned new world number one Simona Halep in a keenly contested final.
Romanian Halep replaced Garbiñe Muguruza at the top of the rankings for reaching the final of the China Open after missing out on two occasions.

Garcia defeated the Romanian 6-4 7-6 (7/3) to add the China Open to the Wuhan Open title she won last weekend.
The 23-year-old will rise from number 15 to nine in the world when the new rankings are released on Monday.
