2023 Africa Para Games: Nigeria participating in wheelchair tennis

Nigeria Wheelchair Tennis is the only sport sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Sports Development, www.aclsports.com gathered and are representing Nigeria at 2023 Para Games in Ghana

African number two female player, Foluke Shittu and Kafayat Omisore will represent Nigeria in the women’s category while Williams Ukari and Alex Oluwadamilare represent Nigeria in the men’s category.

The Nigeria Wheelchair Tennis team will be handled by Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF) Head Coach, Frank Termena.

In the 1st round, William Ukari defeated Elrahman Salah of Egypt 2-0 (6-4, 6-4) while Alex Oluwadamilare beat Hassan Emad 2-0 (6-2, 6-2) to qualify for the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinal matches, Nigeria’s William Ukari will face South Africa’s Alwande Sikhosana (African number 1) while African number 4 Leon Els of South Africa tackles Alex Oluwadamilare in the men’s category.

African number two, Foluke Shittu of Nigeria battles Stacy Mensah of Ghana while African number four, Kafayat Omisore of Nigeria faces Bridget Nartey of Ghana in the women’s quarterfinal matches.

The African Para Games Tennis Tournament takes place from 6th to 10th September, 2023.
