Africa V/ball C’ship: Nigeria to battle Ghana for Gold

Day four of the ongoing zone 3 Africa volleyball clubs championship witnessed a total of four matches in the male and female category.

Legacy club of Lagos beat Energie of Benin Republic 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-21) in the first match of the day and final group game. Both teams are set to meet again on Thursday in the women’s Bronze medal match.

On Friday, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) will face Ghana Police Force in the final match of the female category after both teams met on Wednesday in the final group game. Nigeria Customs Service defeated the Ghanaian team 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-12). It remains to be seen if there will be a repeat of that in the Gold medal match on Friday.

In the male’s semi finals matches, Ghana Police Force takes on Legacy club, in the first match by 3pm while Nigeria Customs Service meets Nigeria Police in the second semi final match by 4pm on Thursday afternoon.

The final group game of the male category saw National Guard of Niger Republic lose 1-3 to Nigeria Police Force (25-22, 21-25, 22-25, 15-25); while host team, Legacy Club of Lagos also tasted defeat against Nigeria Customs Service who won 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-20).
