Nigeria Sports minister, Solomon Dalung on Tuesday urged well-meaning Nigerians to support Team Nigeria as they begin their quest to win medals for the country.

Dalung made the call at the welcome ceremony of the Nigerian athletes to the Commonwealth Games in Queensland, Australia.

He told Nigerians to pray for Team Nigeria success at the competition.

Dalung wrote, “Let’s give our athletes every support they need. Let’s show them love and lets pray for their success at this great competition”.

“Let’s go there; Nigerian athletes are fully on ground to make their mark”.

He said, “Nigerian community in Australia, all out in solidarity with our participating athletes at the Commonwealth Games 2018”.

Nigeria’s flag was hoisted at the Commonwealth Games Village in Gold Coast, Australia.
