Three-time National 100m champion, Seye Ogunlewe has been included in the list of track and field athletes representing Nigeria at the Commonwealth Games in Australia.

On February 23, ACLSports reported here how Ogunlewe was amongst the notable names dropped from the official list to Gold Coast.

Ogunlewe wrote on his social media handle @seyeogunlewe “Grateful to God for the opportunity to compete for Nigeria again at my second Commonwealth starting 4th- 15th April here in Australia. Thanks for all the love and support. I hope and pray I make you guys proud.”

The Olympian clocked a season’s best (SB) of 10.23 seconds ahead of Ogho-Oghene Egwero in second with 10.30 seconds while Usheoritse Itsekiri finished third in 10.47 seconds at the Abuja Golden League last month.

The AFN were left with no choice but to include him to the list of athletes going to the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
