The decisive leg of the first round CAF Champions League tie between Nigeria Professional Football League side MFM FC and their Algerian counterparts, Moloudia Club D’Alger has been brought forward for close to two hours.

Both teams face off at the July 5, Stadium in the Algerian capital; Algiers tonight to determine one of the sixteen teams that will progress to the group stage of the 2018 tournament.

The Nigerians arrived Algiers on Friday afternoon after connecting a flight from Casablanca, Morocco and they had a feel of the match venue later in the evening according to stipulations by the organising body, CAF.

It was however learnt on arrival that the game had been brought forward to commence at 7pm local time (same time in Nigeria) as against the 8:45pm registered on the Confederation of African Football website. Both teams agreed to the change at the pre-match meeting on Friday night.

Fidelis Ilechukwu’s MFM trained at about 6:30pm local time on Friday with a full compliment of players, including right back Stanley Okorom who was replaced in the first half of their first leg encounter.

MFM, owned by Lagos based church Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries hold a slender 2-1 advantage from the first leg in Lagos and face a daunting task to progress past their more illustrious opponents. The loser of the tie drops down to the Confederation Cup.
