LIVERPOOL THROUGH TO FIRST QUARTERFINAL IN NINE YEARS

Five-time winners, Liverpool are the first English team to book a place in the quarter finals of this season’s CL after they were held to a goalless affair by Porto at Anfield.

Leading 5-0 on aggregate, aftter that impressive performance in Portugal in the first leg, Jurgen Klopp rested five of his star players, including top Scorer, Mohamed Salah.

The Reds looked toothless, as they struggled to break down their visitors, who defended stoutly.

Despite both sides cancelling each other out, it’s Liverpool who go through thanks to that result in Portugal.
