Nigeria Customs Service and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) teams are yet to taste defeat at the ongoing Nigeria Volleyball Premier League in Asaba, Delta State.

NSCDC men’s team came from a set down to beat Plateau Rocks 3-1 (15-25, 25-15, 25-21, 25-22) while Nigeria Customs Service men’s volleyball team survived a scare to beat Nigeria Police Force 3-2 (31-29, 23-25, 20-25, 25-18, 15-12) on day 3 of the Nigeria Volleyball Premier League.

In the women’s category, Delta Force lost back to back games against Nigeria Customs Service 3-0 (25-22, 25-14, 25-11) and NSCDC.

The star match of day was between Nigeria Army aka COAS Spikers and Nigeria Immigration Service in the women’s category.

COAS Spikers fought hard to beat Nigeria Immigration 3-2 (14-25, 25-16, 27-29, 26-24, 15-7) in a keenly contested game.

Head coach of COAS Spikers, Elishma Elam commended his players for not giving up despite threats from Immigration.

“I am the happiest man in the league because my girls gave me joy. They played their best against an experienced Immigration but were not intimidated.”

“Our next match is against Nigeria Customs Service. We will not be intimidated by them. They have good players and pedigree but my girls will give them a good fight,”  he added.
