Amy Okonkwo continued her bright WNBA start, posting 11 points and a career-high 6 rebounds as the Dallas Wings lost 100–78 to the Atlanta Dream on Friday, www.aclsports.com reports.

The Nigerian forward, playing on a second hardship contract, also added 1 assist and 1 steal while shooting 44% from the field. She has now recorded three consecutive double-digit scoring games, becoming only the third undrafted player in the last 20 seasons to average at least 11.3 points over her first three WNBA appearances.

The short-handed Wings, forced to rely on emergency signings due to injuries, suffered another tough loss in what has been a difficult stretch of the season. Maddy Siegrist led Dallas with 23 points, while Paige Bueckers had 16 points and 10 assists for her second double-double of the season.

Atlanta, meanwhile, clinched a 2025 WNBA Playoff spot behind Rhyne Howard’s 24 points and career-high six blocks, dominating on both ends of the floor.

Despite Dallas’ struggles, Okonkwo’s emergence remains a key positive, strengthening her case for a longer-term role in the league beyond hardship terms. Up next, the Wings travel to face the Minnesota Lynx on Monday, September 1.
