Both players were returning to Kano from Jos, Plateau state ahead of the Sai Masu Gida’s pre-season training camp before the 2018/19 NPFL season when the vehicle, owned by Sikiru caught fire along the Jigawa – Kano expressway.

Bature, 23 was in the Nigerian side that was eliminated at the group stage of the 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda while Sikiru was a league winner with Enyimba in 2015.
