Matchday two of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) was played this midweek across two days – Wednesday and Thursday, https://aclsports.com reports.

The 2022/23 season, which kicked off a little over two weeks ago, has produced stunning results and outstanding performances from some players thus far. Notable performers are Bello Lukman of Abia Warriors and Ismael Sarki (Bendel Insurance), who have both scored in back-to-back games.

So, here is a look at some of the numbers that stood out on the match day under review;

9 – Following their 2-1 defeat in Benin to Bendel Insurance, Plateau United have now lost nine consecutive away games in the #NPFL. Alarming

Meanwhile, things are not going according to plan at home for Finidi George and his men, as they failed to beat Akwa United in their latest home fixture.

Enyimba have now failed to score or win any of their last three home games in the #NPFL – a run of 270 minutes without scoring a goal. Barren

Moving across the state to the capital, Umuahia, Abia Warriors have been imperious at home and continued their brilliant start to the season with a comprehensive 3-1 win over newly promoted Bayelsa United.

Shooting Stars fans would not be pleased with the goalless draw against Kwara United on Thursday, but this stat. could be one of the positives to take away from the game.
