Seasiders Babes defeated former Champions, Safety Babes 18 to 15 goals in a tough and tense match on Day 4 of the ongoing 2021 Prudent Energy Handball League in Abuja.

Seasiders Babes goalkeeper, Kehinde Babatunde made several back to back breathtaking saves including 7 metre shots to ensure her team condemns Safety Babes to their first defeat of the league.

Coach of Seasiders Babes, Bukola Duru lauded the performance of her players against former champions, Safety Babes.

The National Girl’s U20 Coach revealed that the players listened to instructions reeled out by the coaching crew and it resulted to a vital win for her side.

She said, “I am so excited and elated about our win against Safety Babes because most of their players are experienced and senior national team players.

I hope my team continues with the tempo and performance they put up against the former champions in their subsequent matches.

“The players listened to every instructs ditched to them from the sidelines and we got a deserved result.”
