Defending champions, Plateau Peacocks are planning to beef up their squad ahead of the 2019 Prudent Energy Handball League.

The 2019 first phase of the Prudent Energy Handball League is slated for 25th April to 3rd May, 2019 in Abuja.

The head coach of Plateau Peacocks, Yusuf Abdulkadir told www.aclsports.com that he has decided to add more quality players to the team with the fact that they won the trophy last year.

He said, “We want to bring in two or three players that we know can help us improve our style of play and ultimately retain the title this season. The team is well prepared for the league because most of our players have been active throughout this year”.

“Every team in the league are coming with a mind set to win games but I and my girls are working very hard to retain the handball trophy”, he added.

Abdulkadir attributed team work to the success recorded by his side at last season’s league.

“As you can see, Plateau Peacocks has the youngest side because we started grooming most of the players from the grassroots. With hard work, dedication, team spirit and prayers; we have been able to overcome most opponents that come our way”, said Abdulkadir.
