The Super Falcons of Nigeria have departed the shores of the country for their pre-World Cup tune up games which begins with the China invitational tournament this month.

The AWCON defending champions resumed camping last week ahead of their maiden appearance at the tournament with head coach Thomas Dennerby inviting 20 players for the tournament set to take place between January 14-21, 2019.

The team departed on Monday afternoon via an Egypt Air flight from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and is expected to arrive in the Chinese city of Meizhou, in the Guangdong province of the world’s most populous nation by Tuesday evening.

The four-nation tournament will see the Super Falcons field the bulk of the players who recently won the AWCON in Ghana with a few additions notably, Brighton striker, Ini-Abasi Umotong.
