Nigerian pair of Blessing Okagbare-Ighoteguonor and Oluwatobiloba Amusan will complete at the ninth leg of the IAAF Diamond league in Rabat, Morocco on Friday.

Okagbare will be making her third appearance in the Moroccan City after previous appearances in 2016 and 2017 in the 100m.

The Deltan-born will be competing with familiar foes; Murielle Ahoure and Dina Asher Smith in the half-lap race. Others are Shaunae Miller-Uibo, Jodie Williams, Shashlee Forbes and American duo of Jenna Prandini and Gabrielle Thomas. This will be Okagbare’s first half-lap race in the Diamond League this season.

Okagbare, Africa record holder, will look to replicate her record time of 22:04 seconds which she ran at the Wes Kittley Invitational in Texas in March.

Amusan will be competing with two Olympic champions Brianna McNeal and Dawn Harper-Nelson in the 100m Hurdles.

The Commonwealth champion raced to a third place finish in 12.83 seconds two months ago.
