Benue Queens, Kwara Adorable Angels, Delta Force and Confluence Stars have qualified for the 2020 Prudent Energy Handball League.

In the first women’s semi-finals match, Kwara Adorable Angels beat Delta Force 42-29 while Benue Queens narrowly defeated Confluence Queens 20-19 in the second women’s semi-finals of the 2019 National Handball Division one league in Kaduna.

Delta Force defeated Police Machine 25-24 in the first men’s semi-finals while Confluence Stars pummeled Bayelsa United 29-16 in the second men’s semi-finals of the National Handball Division one league in Kaduna.

The coach of Delta Force, Wilson Isagba told www.aclsports.com that the game of handball is gradually returning to the Southern part of the country.

The ex international said hailed his players for playing according to instructions and taking their chances in front of goal.

He said, “I am happy Delta Force has cemented their place in the 2020 Prudent Energy Handball League. This is an indication that handball is gradually returning to the Southern part of the country. Do not forget that Delta state also won gold in the men’s handball event at the 2018 National Sports Festival in Abuja.

“I must commend the boys for playing strictly to the pattern I gave to them before the commencement of the semi-finals”.
