Beach Volleyball: Ikihiede, others resume camp for African Games

2019 Camtel Beach Volleyball gold medallist, Francisca Ikihiede and 11 others have resumed camp ahead of the 13th African Games in Ghana.

The 13th African Games will be held in Ghana from 8th to 23rd March, 2024.

The two-time African silver medallist top the list of women invited to camp. Others are; Esther Mbah, Pamela Bawa, Naomi Yaro, Sarah Sanda and Dorcas Isaac.

The men’s list included the champions of the 2023 Beach Volleyball Star Tour, Ibrahim Peter and Uchenna Augustine. Others are Emenike Ezike, Ike Sylvester, Philip Zakka and Victor Eze.

Francis Imoudu and John Iwerima will handle the men’s team while Kayode Ajilore Christy Amadi are in charge of the women’s team.

The national beach volleyball players are currently training at the Marina beach opposite Chief Mobi Palace in Badagry, Lagos.

The head coach of Nigeria beach volleyball teams, Francis Imoudu told www.aclsports.com that the players are in good form ahead of the African Games.

He said, “I am impressed with the performances of all the players in camp. It is a good thing we are trying on the natural beach in order for us to acclimatize with the Badagry beach before we move to Loboma Beach, venue of the beach volleyball event”.
