Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck has been ruled out for at least three weeks due to an injury.

The England international was substituted after he picked up a groin injury during their game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

He will miss Arsenal’s clash with Doncaster in the Carabao cup on Wednesday at the Emirates stadium.

“Danny has a scan today,” Arsene Wenger during a press conference “We don’t know how bad his groin injury is but he will certainly be out until the international break.”

Wenger also provided an update on Mesut Ozil, whom he says is definitely out of the Doncaster game despite returning to training.

“Mesut is training again, but for (Wednesday), no (he will not feature). He has a little inflammation of his knee,” according to Sky sports.
