Egypt were the biggest winners in the cadet freestyle event at the ongoing African Wrestling Championships at the indoor Alfred Diete Spiff Civic Centre, Port Harcourt. Egypt garnered three gold from Fathi Ismail (71kg), Chadi El Kalil (92kg) and Ahmed Mahmoud (110kg); Abdelmonem Ali Sakr (55kg).

South Africa are second with two gold; Fernando Booysen (48kg) and Rubin Jansen Van Vuuren (51kg), two silver; Decan Jan Tjies (45kg) and Heinrich Kilian (92kg) as well as three bronze; Mika Lehinkuehl (60kg), Arno Van Zijl (71kg) and Nicolaas Johannes De Lange (80kg).

Occupying third place is Team Nigeria winning Two gold medals from Ebizimor Saraki (45kg) and Tope Akintewe (60kg), two silver; Kenechukwu Nnaemeka (65kg) and Morgan ThankGod (71kg); Peremobowei Ebinuieower (51kg), one bronze.

In fourth place is Algeria with two gold; Oussama Laribi (55kg) and Fateh Benferdjallah (80kg), one silver; Nour El Islam Bouras (110kg) and two bronze; Mohammad Salah (48kg) and Chouaib Abderrahmane (65kg).

Other results: Cameroon in fifth position with one gold, Tunisia secured two silver placing sixth while Ivory Coast and Sierea Leone joint seventh position.
Gabon and Morocco had one bronze apiece to place joint ninth position at the end of day two of the ongoing African Wrestling championships in Port Harcourt.
