Nigeria’s Falcons quest to appear at the 2018 Female World Volleyball World Cup suffered a huge set back after losing 0-3 to the Teranga lioness of Senegal, in Yaounde.

The Nigeria female volleyball players came out in a high spirit against their Senegalese counterparts but could not sustain it. The fate of the Falcons had been decided earlier as Tunisia whitewashed Congo by 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-20).

Nigeria in the first set leveled against her West Africa sisters 10-10 but the lioness went on to edge the Falcons by 25-23 points.  Senegal won the second and third set by 5 points apiece as it ended 25-20, 25-20 respectively.
