NWFL rising star, Anan Imo scored a decisive penalty eight minutes from time to ensure that the defending champions secured all three points at the Lafia township stadium against the very confident Sunshine Queens.

This loss not only hands Wemimo Matthew’s girls their first defeat of the season but it also makes it the first game in which the prolific Akure based team has failed to score a goal.

Ibom Angels defeated Sure Babes of Ilorin thanks to an Emem Essien brace; while Ijeoma Obi’s goal in the second half secured an important away draw for Bayelsa Queens after Orji Chiwendu had given Heartland Queens the lead.

Elsewhere in Port Harcourt, Cecilia Nku’s fierce strike was enough to secure all three points for Rivers Angels against Edo Queens in a crucial South South derby.

Chiaka Ugorji scored this season’s fastest goal within seconds into the game before Abigail Sunday added a second in the 63rd minute to hand Abia Angels a 2-0 home win over debutants, Jokodolu Babes.

In Lagos, FC Robo Queens avoided a second successive South West defeat courtesy of 72nd minute penalty which was converted by Chidinma Okeke after the visitors; Osun Babes took the lead via a Mary Anjor strike in the 69th minute.

The last two games of match day 4, saw Delta Queens  record a 2-1 home win over Confluence Queens as Juliana Abwo’s lone goal gave Adamawa Queens all three points over Pelican stars in Yola.
