A goalless draw away to Enugu Rangers ensured MFM FC secured their first away point of the season. This was despite allegations of poor officiating which saw the Olukoya boys denied a well taken goal and another promising goal scoring opportunity in the final minutes of the game.

When asked about his thoughts on the officiating after the game, MFM head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu said: “You know I don’t talk about officiating now, I don’t talk about it.

“Me I just leave them and continue living my life. I don’t want to talk about anything officiating. Make dem just dey do dey go, nothing dey happen.”

Ilechukwu then commended his boys’ display despite only picking a point. “To me, we did our best and to me, we won the game. With fatigue and everything, the boys gave everything for that game.

“We were far better than Rangers in that game and I give kudos to my players. Moving forward, if we can repeat that same performance in Minna against Niger Tornadoes believe me, winning that game is very sure by God’s grace,” he said.
